What's better, a Jeep Wrangler or a Chevy Tracker?

I would be getting a 4 cylinder 5 speed of either. I know everyone says the 4 cylinder Jeep is really underpowered, but whatever. Which one is better, and why? Which gets better mpg? and does the tracker seat 2 or 3 in the back row? (I would get the 2 door convertible jeep or tracker)

If you are just using it for a moderately priced commuters vehicle with 4wd, Id say either would be a safe bet, and focus more on one that is in good shape, low miles and suits your budget.
If you ever contemplate driving the road less travelled, then a Jeep is what you should be focused on for a lot of reasons. It is literally made for wheeling. BUT, you have been correctly informed as a 4 cylinder is rather gutless if you plan on traversing a muddy hilly countryside, but its just fine for the road if that’s not your intent.
From a ‘status’ standpoint.. a Jeep will always be a symbol and in all honesty, after owning numerous Jeeps, nothing beats rolling down the road with your hair (and everything else) flying in the wind after you take the hard/soft top off on the first warm day of the season.
It may just fall to personal preference at this point as they both mostly fall to middle of the road fuel economy (about 17-23 mpg avg) , reliability and price.
